J. Phillip and Vicki Epperson & the Board of Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries
Bless you for caring !
We continue to experience great results from our outreach ministries. Last month we shared the wonderful success of the construction of “Katie Hall” in Cambodia, under the sponsorship of Teen Challenge. We can now add another chapter to this great story by telling you that they have completed the official government signing ceremony. They have also wrapped up the process of hiring all of the staff members needed for training and will begin work by mid November. Already ten client applications have been received.
Perhaps an even more personal testimony is that Koy, the Executive Director, now drives (see photo) from his home to the Katie Hall site on his new moped. It was purchased by friends of Katie’s Comfort Ministries, an outreach ministry of Helping Neighbors. Over $1,400 was raised towards purchasing this moped, which finally cost around $1,200. Now Koy can quickly make his journey to the Teen Challenge facility in much less time than he could when walking. Thank you for giving to the Lord!
At our October Festival Friday evening, we so enjoyed meeting our friends and hearing the wonderful progress of the various outreach ministries. The following ministries were presented in various ways: Gambling Exposed, James 5:16 or Tenacious Prayers Ministries, Ignite International, Joshua Ministries, Katie’s Comfort Ministries, Landmark Christian Academy, Deaf Ministry, and Youth with a Mission. Each is special in the work of the Kingdom of God.
Only time and eternity will reveal what is being done for the Kingdom of God. Paul the Apostle said in 1 Corinthians 15:24-26, “Then after that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.”
Dear Friend,
It is time for all men and women to come to the aid of their country! Yes, this is one of the most serious moments in American history. We have heard that many times before, but this time we are standing at the precipice of no turning back from evil, grave losses of freedom, and losing an America that we all have enjoyed and benefited from so greatly!.
The Bible speaks plainly about having godly people as leaders. In Proverbs 29:2 it says, “When the [uncompromisingly] righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.”
It is time to set politics aside and ask God for wisdom, and vote your convictions of truth and life for this great nation. Please vote, but most importantly, please pray for our country and leaders daily!
Friends, hear my heart, we are so blessed in America! We must not lose our freedom to speak up for Jesus Christ our Savior and soon coming King!
Please pray for our nation daily.
