As we write to you each month, we begin to think of you like family. But we do not want to take family for granted, therefore thank you for your generous response last month. Last month was a busy month, Pastor Epperson & Vicki journeyed to Washington DC and then to Tyler, TX to teach on prayer at the YWAM campus.

The trip to Washington DC was filled with excitement as stirring stories were told concerning Israel and its great battle to survive against an enemy much greater in number. There were over 4,000 people present at the Christians United for Israel conference. On Wednesday of that week, after training and prayer, these 4,000 went in force to Capitol Hill.

Pastor & Vicki were able to visit the office of Senator Barak Obama and speak to his Chief of Staff. Also, there was someone to hear us in Senator Dick Durbin’s office as well. We believe that every Congressman and woman was visited. Our own Congressman Jerry Weller is very pro Israel. A congressman from Missouri, near the St. Louis area, was anti-Israel. His statement was, “if I could vote tomorrow, I would vote for PLO!”

The main talking points to elected officials were:
• America should not pressure Israel to give up any more land in this present political climate. Israel was promised this land through Abraham and Isaac.
• The United Nations has failed to disarm Hezbollah since Israel pulled out of Lebanon.
• America must continue diplomatic and financial support of Israel by renewing a ten year pledge.

We are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure.” Praying churches, and support for Israel has kept America safe. However, we have greatly declined in our praying and political support for Israel. We have greatly jeopardized our security in America!

Pastor Epperson went to the YWAM base in Tyler, TX the week after Washington DC. Pastor had a great experience speaking daily for several hours on prayer to 34 new missionary trainee recruits. This 400 acre ranch has been dedicated to ministry all over the world. It is composed of over 300 fulltime adults who have met the great challenge of raising their own support. The spirit of humility in evidence there was so great that it was difficult to determine who the head of leadership was.
Our Annual Dinner will be at Christian Life Center (CLC) at 6PM on Friday, October 19, 2007.

Dear Friend,
For 25 years Missionary Kim Kauffman has sacrificed health, money time and talent to assist and support thousands of young people through her area of ministry with YWAM. We thank God for her dedication and we are so proud to partner with her with prayers, love, and financial support.
We now have a definite time and place for this year’s appreciation dinner for all the friends and supporters of Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries. The dinner will be at Christian Life Center (CLC) at 6PM on Friday, October 19, 2007. The church is located at 183rd and Ridgeland Ave. The evening will consist of entertainment, food, and a brief review of the ministries that compose HNWM. Please put this on your calendar immediately!!! Thank you for being there for this ministry. Only the Lord knows all the good that has been done the past several years, and will be done for Him in the future.

This month we have tried to give just a glimpse of what Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries is privileged to be a part of. Please keep praying, giving, and caring! It will be such an honor to bring our sheaves to lie at the Master’s feet someday!
