Summer is upon us but so is the working of the Holy Spirit! I continue to be deeply concerned for friends, families, and the nation as a whole because we are too slow to wake up to the conditions that threaten our nation. Many laws have been passed or attempted that would harm our freedoms that we so enjoy.

We continue to speak out in churches that are open to the message that the Holy Spirit has given us. Last Sunday in Marion, IL demonstrated to us that there are deeply concerned people that want to hear from God! The Sunday evening service went over three hours as the church body cried out to God.

It is amazing how simple the process could be for America to be safe, protected by the mighty hand of God and blessed by His richest blessings. Yes, it is clearly spelled out in Proverbs 16:7 “When the ways of people please the Lord, He makes even their enemies live at peace with them.”

America is not at peace in the world! We are seriously divided in this great nation, and even our cities, towns and villages have serious problems in many areas, including not caring about each other, regardless of ethnicity.

What is the solution? Even the U.S. government has recognized the solution!

On April 17, 1952, President Truman signed a bill proclaiming the National Day of Prayer into law. It was in 1972 that the National Prayer Committee was formed. It went on to create the National Day of Prayer Task Force, with the intended purpose of coordinating events for the National Day of Prayer. In 1988, President
Reagan signed a bill into law decreeing that the National Day of Prayer be held on the first Thursday of May.

Did you observe this special day? Perhaps you went to a special prayer service or prayed with family and friends or with your church during that day? Currently only a small number observe this official day. But it is our belief that as the Lord calls people back to Him, this day will be more recognized than some of our present holidays!! The young people are getting it by gathering together around the Flag Pole for prayer in
the early morning. It is the prayer of this ministry, and our heart, that God’s people will get it and come back to
the foundation of prayer for this nation! This simplicity is spelled out and found in II Chronicles 7:14 If My people; not the politicians; My people; not
the bankers or lawyers; My people; not religious people; My people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked WAYS, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.. .when their WAYS please the Lord!

Only by turning back to God can we then pass a good immigration bill that will be just and fair to all. Only then can we have a just hate-crime bill that will not cause a minister to be arrested because he reads from the Bible about certain sins that destroy lives. Please pray for our politicians and leaders; they desperately need our prayers and many are asking for them. America does not need more laws, America needs God!

Please remember and pray for us as we travel in July to Washington D.C. for the Israeli Summit and pray that our leaders will not abandon the apple of God’s eye, the nation of Israel.
