Dear Friend,
J. Phillip and Vicki Epperson & the Board of Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries
Bless you for caring !
As we begin the New Year, we are so thankful for your continued prayer and support. It is amazing what God is doing through obedient people that believe in building the Kingdom of God. Our appreciation dinner December 28th, was an outstanding success! We were overwhelmed with the number of people who came and gave such resounding support to the vision of Helping Neighbors Worldwide!
We were blessed by the Johnson family and students who came with their musical instruments and formed a small orchestra that provided outstanding music during dinner. Their value-added efforts helped to make the evening a memorable occasion and we sincerely thank them from the depths of our heart. It was also great visiting with people that came from other areas and states that took the time to come to the dinner.
The evening was a time of casting the vision of the ministries that work with Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries. It is our hope that this allowed people to better comprehend the great vision that God has given and to hear the hearts of the leaders of these ministries. The Bible is clear, without a vision the people parish.
In my prayer time each day I have been reading about Samuel. He was a Judge, Prophet, and Priest, at a time when Israel was far from God. At one of Israel’s lowest points Samuel challenged the people to give up their gods and turn whole heartily back to the LORD! And guess what? Israel did exactly that! When the enemy came to attack them, God intervened and Israel was safe once again! Let that same desire be our prayer and challenge for the United State of America!
Churches in America must turn from their selfish and self-centered ways and return to the Lord Jesus Christ with all of their hearts. If God’s people pray then God will hear and keep America safe! We have too much at stake to be negligent concerning our walk and prayer life with the Lord.
Special Prayer Request
Merrill Healy, a young man that we knew at The Stone Church and who was a student at the Academy for all of his elementary school years has joined the United States Marine Corps. We are very proud of him and are very appreciative of all the men and women who serve in our country’s armed forces and protect our nation. We fervently ask you to put him on your daily prayer list for protection and safety. It is our prayer that the Angels of God will watch over him with a hedge of protection and that he will meet and serve with other Christians that will encourage him in his walk of faith in Jesus Christ.
Ministry of the Month — Elim Christian Services of Crestwood, IL.
A ministry that we greatly admire and thank God for is Elim Christian Services. ECS is a ministry that equips individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest God-given potential. This ministry has been a great blessing to us by stuffing thousand of envelopes (like this one). We sincerely thank God and pray for the Lord’s blessing for ECS and the students that have been involved in this activity. Please visit their website at www.ElimCS.org.
Would you make a covenant with us to pray for Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries regularly?
Your prayer support is more important than financial support because when people pray God answers and opens the windows of heaven and pours out blessings on all of us.
We pray that 2007 will be a blessed and prosperous year for you and your family!
