There a great need for America to recognize the God of our fathers, who believed that a righteous nation would be the only way we could stand against our enemies!
The shocking report in World Magazine of the probability of a nuclear attack on U.S. soil is 50/50 by 2010 according the former Secretary of Defense, William Perry. This awesome scenario should cause our hearts to seek the face of Jesus with renewed desperation! If America is to be safe, the Church must become a house of prayer. If America does not become desperate for God, in the next few years, we will truly seek God out of devastation. Billy Graham had said that if God does not judge America for her sins soon, He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

We are on the verge of something great happening in America! As a continuation of Prayer Across America I am trying to speak a a different church each week. We are encountering a wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit and the Lord moving across America. We are seeing people make new commitments to prayer and renewing their faith in Jesus Christ. This effort must be expanded if we are to see the great awakening come to America and sweep across this nation.
I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and financial support toward the many ministries of Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries. Our budget is about $4,000 a month which needs to be increased in order to meet the needs of the many ministry assignments that Helping Neighbors has partnered with.
Bless you for caring!
P.S. A word about the Landmark Christian Academy. We have received many comments and reactions (favorable and unfavorable) to last month’s letter and insert about LCA. Therefore it is appropriate to give further clarification: One of the many lessons I have learned since 9-11, was my understanding of the Kingdom of God. Over two years ago the Holy Spirit posed this question to me, “Are you building the Kingdom of God, or are you building your kingdom for God?” I have diligently attempted to build His Kingdom not mine.
Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries was founded with the principle of promoting the Christian walk. The exact quote from our organizing papers is: To engage in other activities related to educating, ministering and partnering with others within the Christian Community as well as the general public in regards to Christian Stewardship, Ministry and its implementation in a day to day Christian Walk. Therefore this outreach ministry of LCA is a direct fit for our organization. In fact, we would not be following our charter if we did otherwise. The need for Christian Education is great and there is a need for more Christian Schools not less. If we keep the Kingdom of God in focus, I believe we can all work together and please our Lord with great compassion. It is my prayer that we will be known by the Love that we show each other and to the world as we reach out in Jesus’ name.
A few weeks ago, Vicki and I went to the Uptown in Chicago and helped feed over 500 people. We would ask different ones at each table as we served them their meal and drink, if they wanted prayer for any special need. Many responded in the affirmative. What a great challenge, but what a wonderful feeling of doing something that pleases the heart of God. After the meal, people are invited to attend a chapel service. Several respond but many walk out into the night, lost, hurting, and still bound by the spirit of darkness. Paul the Apostle identified with the homeless when he said, “To this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed, and are roughly treated, and are homeless.” I Corinthians 4:11 NIV
Our plan is to highlight one of the ministries of Helping Neighbors Worldwide Ministries in each of our monthly newsletters.
This month we want to share the vision of Missionary John Amissah and his ministry with the homeless in Uptown, Chicago.
Please pray for Missionary John Amissah, his wife Florence, daughters, Lydia, and Rebecca, and son John.
Please go to our website at www.Helpneighbor.Org for more information about their ministry.
